JaM Patch News --- Classes, Classes and Classes

Hello to everyone from Sunny Florida, notice we did not say warm. We still have not warmed up to our normal of mid-70's. I know we should not complain but... enough already. At least we have lots of quilts to keep us warm. ANd did they say that stashes were good insulators.

We have been busy as always but so enjoying spending time with our winter guests. You gals, and a guy or two, have been extremely busy. We so love to view the "show and tell." Speaking of, you should see the finished, or almost, results of the bargello class. We have some of the photos on the website under "News Flashes." These gals did a lot of sewing and got great results. They were wonderful and we do still have Nancy's great patterns.

Next week we are offering some classes you won't want to miss. The machine quilting classes resume on Monday with Kathy. She is teaching a "Feather" class from 10 - 3. Although this class is not for the beginner, it is not difficult. Margy so enjoyed the lesson and have started to feather lots of projects. Give it a try.

Tuesday, 9 - 3, we start a monthly scrap quilt. Don't panic, you do not need to attend each month or have the scraps and stash. We do have kits available for our sample and you can attend when you are available. This week Jeri is presenting the "Candy Dish." We all have a memory of our grandma's dish sitting on the table. Why not quilt a memory too? What is your favorite candy? Did we mention we have received some wonderful novelty prints to fill your dish?

Wednesday join Margy as she shows you how to appliqu with fusible. We are using the patterns and fabric kits from Big Fork Bay Cotton Company. Have you seen the wonderful samples hanging on the wall near the register? Or check them out on our blog www.jampatch.blogspot.com. As a special to encourage you, we are offering 25% off any pattern and fabric kit from Bigfork for all those so register to take the class. We know you will enjoy your piece and enjoy learning the process.

Michelle is showing us her awesome thread painting technique on her "White Flower Blossom" on Friday, the 26th at 9am. For $35, including the supply fee, you can have a day of design and creative sewing. What FUN!!

Our Thimbleberries Groups are meeting on Friday and Saturday this week. It is always so much fun to see the annual quilt progress. Keep it up gals.

Have a great week and we hope to see you soon,
