JaM Patch News --- Quilting Week continues
The first day of discussions and demos from the "Quilting Stars in our Backyard" was great. We thank Pam Post and Karen Marchetti for great presentations, show and tells, and lively discussions. It was a fabulous afternoon for quilters. You are lucky that the presentation continue this week on Thursday and Saturday. So if you weren't able to make it, you still have a chance. (And for those of you who did, we hope you can make some more.) Please check out the schedule below for all the pertinent information and try to stop in.
Thursday, March 24th
11am Kathy Ward Quilt Judge
She is an experienced show judge, in fact, judged the Crazy Quilter's 2010 show. She will sharing judging tips, a trunk show of her quilts, including judging comments, and information on what they look for in a quilt. She will also share thread info. She will provide a handout regarding judging.
1pm Pam Post Long Arm Quilter
She will offer 15 minute consultations for people who might want ideas about how to quilt their finished top. She has a book of pattern stitched out, thread color charts, and a handout about how to prepare a quilt to give a long arm quilter.
Saturday, March 26th10am Kathy Rentz Teacher
Quilting with your home machine. She will share her expertise in quilting with your home machine, both with predetermined designs like stencils and free motion quilting.
11am Tonya Ricucci Author
"Word Play Quilts", Easy Techniques from the Unruly Quilter is her new book. She will show her technique and sharing tips with you. She will have two sessions, one at 11am and again at 2pm.
1pm Kathy Rentz Teacher
She will be showing us Kaleidoscope Kreator and what you can do with it. It is such fun to play with. The whole presentation will emphasis quilting using an unusual block.
2pm Tonya Ricucci Author
