JaM Patch News ---- Candy Corn Countdown
Hello to all,
This finds me writing on a beautiful early Fall day in Stuart. It has been terrific for the past few days and it is hard to concentrate on work or even sewing. You just want to sit and bask in the terrific day. A little hand stitching or a good book and you can lose a bunch of hours, but the pending holidays and all that must be finished makes you get up and get going. We, here at the Patch, are starting to get up and get going. We have a few wonderful things pending for the next few months and we will be telling you about them here, on the website and on Facebook. Yes, we are on facebook. Here is the link. But you must be a member of Facebook to see it. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Stuart-FL/The-JaM-Patch/141266432583871 An easier way for those of you who might be on your facebook page is to just put JaM Patch in the search line and you will go to our page. Hit "LIKE" and we will like you back!!!!!
We have a fabulous class coming this Saturday for your holiday needs. It is called "Step into Christmas" with Karen Demos. It begins at 11:00 am goes to 4:00 pm. It is quite a beauty and our sample is done with the Basic Grey line manufactured by Moda called "Fruitcake." Okay, I know you are not a Fruitcake lover but you will love this fabric line. The original quilt done by the pattern designed Abbey Lane was done in Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding." They are both stunners. We do have kits and it will be a fun way to spend Saturday afternoon.
Beach Walk is again scheduled on Wednesday afternoon and Thimbleberries Club Meeting will be this coming Friday, October 22nd.
This Saturday and the following Monday are flash days for your Saturday Sampler. We are getting to the end and Margy and I have the wreaths and leaves done as well as some of the flower blocks. We have them on display in the Classroom Annex and you are welcome to take pictures. It is really turning out quite nice and even the pink is growing on me. We are planning to help you with your leaves and will announce it at the class. Our leaves were cut using our Accu-go. Could Accu-go time be in your future? We also did the flower petals and some of the circle centers.

We received in from Moda a new French General Line and it is called Maison De Garance. It is so wonderful in wonderful browns and reds and taupe. In the 18th century the Maison de Garance was the only dye house to cultivate all the shades of the garadance flower - from deep red to chocolate brown. Here is a link that will show you what we are talking about. www.unitednotions.com/fcc_maison_de_garance.pdf Don't you agree?????

New items will be on display starting at 10am on Friday. Don't be square and miss this one.
