You will be at a Beginner‘s skill level when completed. Besides needing a sewing machine that is in good working condition and that you are familiar, you will need the following basic notions:
Rotary Cutter; two rulers for rotary cutting (6-1/2” square and 6-1/2” x 24-1/2” ruler); rotary cutting mat; scissors; thread; and fabric marking pencil.
This class is designed for you to complete the piecing of a wall hanging that is 41-1/2” x 41-1/2”. You will need good quality quilting fabric and it is suggested that this be purchased at the JaM Patch so we can be sure of the quality. If you follow the instructions and do your homework, you will have a top finished in class three. The next step necessary will be to learn in a follow-up class on how to quilt it and bind it. Piecing is also referred to as patchwork, it is only when you join the three layers together that it is a quilt.
