FLAMINGO RUN IS HERE!!!!!!!
We are sso excited to present to you our first
Flamingo Block aptly named "Dive into the Treasure
Coast". The block contains a part of the Guilds in our
area and quilting group that we are aware of. We honor
all the wonderful members of these groups that keep us
inspired. Thank you Martin County Quilters for the
Treasure Chest, Thimblebuddies for our thimbles and the bits
of fabric to Gone to Pieces. To help with assembly and
all for your blocks we have provided these pictures.
Thank you for coming and we look forward to 2008.
Also, as a new
suggestion to the group, it was our task to design the
quilt to enhance all the blocks you pick up on the Run.
Margy set herself to the task and we have a large flamingo
under palm tree with sunshine and sail
boats. Here is our setting. The pattern
is provided free for all the runners who visit all seven
shops. It is also available in the completion kit.

you-all who love the beach----here is a cute pillow which we
have at the shop that matches this. Hope you
enjoy!!!

MODA UNIVERSITY
Have you ever wondered what it
would be like to attend an old fashion quilting bee? Well, our
Moda University
is the modern day version. Join our fun evening any time
you chose. It starts off with a dinner to match
our quilt pattern. (or at least we try to do
this.) We can promise always a GREAT DESSERt WHICH YOU
CAN EAT FIRST AS LIFE IS UNCERTAIN. Some pick up
their quilt kit early and have it cut out and ready to
sew. Others wait for the excitment of the evening
and cut their kit during class. The fee for the
evening's activities is $15.00 which includes your
dinner. We do give the option of you making your own
quilt. You can purchase a Moda UNiversity pattern and
pick fabric from your stash or allow us to chose fabrics that
are more attune to your tastes. Any tips or easier
methods to assemble the quilt are
shared.
Schedule for Moda
University Thursday Evening, Class begins at 6 PM and is
usually over by 9:30PM.

purples, greens, golds and black.

2007 Pampered Pooch. prceeds from this
project will be given to the Humane Society. the fabrics are
30s and 40s.

QUILTS FOR
KIDS
A
generous group of quilters will be meeting here the
4th Thursday of each month to construct “Quilts for
Kids”. The quilts
are given to children in Martin County and surrounded
areas. Last year
377 were given.
If you have fabrics and batting that you would like to donate
to this great cause let us know. We will be sure to get
it to these folks. |

quilt found on the back cover of Nancy Halverson’s 2006 Christmas
Book

Peppermint and Holly.” It contains the entire crew of 9 reindeers
done in wonderful rich and warm colors.
Class
is FREE with the purchase of the fabric kit. All students are required to
purchase the book.

fee
of $45.00 is charged if you don’t purchase the fabric kit. The class is from
